If you do quiet flight maybe cloaking or other features do not work as the 'sound dampeners' take up too much power to run everything.
You could have an option on the screen be something like a "TARDIS Locator" and it could have like a sonar scanner type thingy like a submarine.
The voting is a good idea! What if it worked something like everyone that is in the Tardis has to vote and if everyone in tardis votes "yes" then everyone...
