@GrahamSH-LLK We're running out of time. Also when I suggested shrinking the canvas I didn't think of the rest of the page. There should probably be a full-size overlay element...
I think this would still be a cool easter egg to have around.
I think the reason for shrinking the workspace is so blocks don't accidentally get deleted when they're dragged but still overlap the palette.

Could the tabs expand to fill the available space? Most tabs are toggleable leaving this when they're disabled:
