Can someone provide the explanation that clarifies how this is not confusing? I would like to know how to explain it to the consumers to my APIs.

Thanks @shockey , yes I read his comment, but I guess it's not convincing me that is an intuitive solution. If it was, I shouldn't have to continuously explain this...

Is there any guidance as to how to resolve this? I have a client with an older version of the Function with constructor parameters and would like to get this...
