In the case the connection never gets established, I believe the process will be still hanging (if I remember correctly)

+1, we've encountered this problem as well

I've tested on Node 20, 18, and 16. 16 Doesn't have this issue, so I guess it's a compatibility problem between kubo-rpc-client and native fetch in node 18+
