What about the first problem? I can't seem to find any file on the drive? Does this work for you?
An empty window as such: (Also the search yields no results) 
I tried Sing-in and out again, and still no change. I have an arc file (saved using the previous version) in the root Google drive dir
As expected: { "files": [] }
as for the permissions: 
Open with worked, and it was added as an option on the "Saved" list. Still the Open from Google drive yields no results, but I can manage with this.
