I tried Freedom Wars on an AMD RX 580 on Vulkan and it renders upside down XD On Windows BTW. 
The US version of Freedom Wars renders properly though 
I will dig deeper. Maybe pulling log level 2 or 3 will point something out

You could try forcing `MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.2 MESA_GLSL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=150` but it is likely to not help due to the limitations of your hardware

Try using Ubuntu Kinectic Kudu or Debian Sid
