see #3780 Column Settings: getting 520 error when making a new column but column is created

@haneslinger / @axelstudios -- is this bug still a problem? The related issue is in test and maybe it shouldn't be?

Depending on the answer to #3780, I will close both of these issues.

instance: staging SHA: bb2fdd425 I can make a new column profile in the Inventory List view so I think this has been fixed.

@kflemin -- we have addressed at least some of these issues, so I am going to keep this issue closed.

@kflemin -- actually, I realized it is just marked as stale, not close. Maybe you should evaluate this and decide if we should just close it, or keep it around....
