Improve the experience for new users
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It's hard for users to get started with SEED and get familiar with its features.
Describe the solution you'd like
In general, revisit the site-map under the lens of a new user. "What do they see, and how much guidance do they receive when they are introduced to SEED?"
Definite areas for improvement:
- Landing page should be more useful
- Consider integrating a tutorial/ "Getting started" (Check out TutorialJS).
- Add a new user FAQ - consider allowing users to submit questions somehow.
- Provide dummy data for users to go through SEED's more notable features. (Include column mapping that's easy to use, and note that some sample data exists in seedplatform.org > references > presentations.)
Describe alternatives you've considered

@kflemin -- we have addressed at least some of these issues, so I am going to keep this issue closed.
@kflemin -- actually, I realized it is just marked as stale, not close.
Maybe you should evaluate this and decide if we should just close it, or keep it around. Seems like maybe we should close it and have another issue to address making the current getting started experience even better than it is.
