Last two force-pushes were simply to ensure there were still no conflicts after other merges and we're up to date. No changes to the commits.
Force-pushed to rebase onto master after #1172 .
Rebased onto master and made an update to the PR that deprecated `CDROM_READ_DMA` as new usages were added with the streaming updates.
Just rebased onto master since it's been a few months to make sure it was still fresh and ready for review.
After further experimentation, my best guess is that it simply doesn't work with the vmu speaker, but that shouldn't hold back the usefulness of this for rumble and lcd.
