I implemented this on huge sliders with 100+ items. If you have a invisible area this works relay well but i think its not a feature for the library itself....

Quick idea: I think a other "hotfix" will work better for you: create an onDragStart function wich sets https://developer.mozilla.org/de/docs/Web/CSS/pointer-events on all links to none. After onDragEnd you remove that css...

Also noted in #110 we currently cant tag new releases for a composer package. You would still need to use a workaround by hash/branch.
