Tried uninstalling, resetting all Nostalgy prefs to default and hence removing, then reinstalling 2.2.6 and still seeing the same problem. Where did you download 2.2.4?

I found just disabling then reenabling the plugin with the switch kicks it into action. No need to reset key bindings.
