Replacing `any` with `HomePageMachineStateMachine["_options"]` seems to do the job. I'm fine with this unless there is a more reader-friendly way of doing it which I'm overlooking.
Thanks for taking a look at this! Your solution makes sense to me but I wonder is it resilient to the case where a parent or grandparent of the subject...
