Well, it was my first guess, BetterPortals. Dragnier had a NetherPortalFix I think. Maybe the way dimensions are coded in NC or the portal mods is causing the immediate crash...

So I fixed my dilemma (kinda) by removing BetterPortals & running minecraft to get the NC config, then reinserting BetterPortals... BUT... I fear if anyone were to download my pack...
