Additional piece of information: when I kill wsldhost.exe on Windows then opened applications throw: `Gtk-WARNING **: 22:37:48.269: cannot open display: :0` This also indicates that wsldhost.exe is communicating with WSL....

Hi, yea you are right, horizontal would not be useful. I proposed this without really checking what horizontal options are there in mac since I don't use them.
