Well flat screens are still significantly more than edge screens in numbers.

Yeah do that. Removing overlapping works but the bar itself just looks weird in current position

Drop down menu I think text is enough. There are material icons posted by Google but it only has icon for sorting by name.
And update them if possible too 
0.0.3 is also crashing for me
+1 Same issue here. It work fine when i scroll through apps but search instantly crash the app.
