I think the general opinion was more in favor of the drop-down last time I asked. So I would tend to try this way for the moment as well :)

based on the description, I suppose it's not a zoom you would like actually but more being able to display a single panel in a full screen mode.

In the effort around this issue, migration / import dashboard and creation dashboard are behind the same button displayed in the home page. Probably we can close the issue now....
