Farm scene nerfstudio vs instant-ngp

Hi all, is there anyone who might be able to point out why this happens and maybe how to solve this issue? I have been trying out instruct-nerf2nerf and it uses nerfstudio, which in turn uses instant-ngp. They have an outdoor scene "farm" which gets trained and shows up in nerfstudio as follows.

But when I use that image set to get it to train and render in instant-npg I run into this problem where all is extremely blurry hot mess as in the example underneath. Things have no volume either, the tree here is just a blob, almost 2D and dissappears almost instantly when I move the camera. I have made a lot of nerfs with instant-npg already and never had any real issue, only now.

I have noticed that when I tried this image set with gaussian-splatting, I also run in some messy stuff. And I must admit I have no clue how come.

Same for me. Instant-ngp seems significantly faster than nerfstudio but the quality is much worse
