I do know this is not obvious, but you can rename a connection by single clicking on its name. It will make a textbox appears 🪄 
When setting proxy, there should a test running that tells you if the connection to XrmToolBox api works or not. Did you see it?
Your update of XrmToolBox certainly did not work as expected and you are still using previous version. Please try to update again and if it does not work, please download...
Can you refer to your source code where you are opening an url from the browser profile?

Ok it seems that people having issues are the ones who updated connection controls but not XrmToolBox (or XrmToolBox update fails for some reason I cannot explain). Just update XrmToolBox...
Manual means download from website. Update from XrmToolBox itself should work too but it seems not for some people
For all people having the issue. It seems the first update does not apply. Forcing an update again solves the issue
Crap! It seems we will need another update so... I must admit I never use primary profile...
