ah ah! I just got a similar requirement and it was not working 😄 The localized attributes must be added to the view used by the lookup column

Can you try to configure this in classic editor? It seems there might be a bug in defining custom controls properties for lookup in modern designer

Hi @peterV51, may I ask if you did tick Mobile client in the PCF configuration? because I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work there
