Lookup to dropdown filtering not working
I can't seem to get the filtering column settings to work on the Lookup to Dropdown list control. Does it matter if I have the "Filter by related rows" ticked or not? I've tried every combination I can think of. Do you have an step-by-step example of how to use this feature? Thanks!
Here is the working example I have on my demo tenant: https://www.screencast.com/t/GHEt2MfH5Zfk
I just set the Filtering Column in the PCF configuration
Thanks for the reply. That is how I have my child field set up, but the filtering isn't doing anything. I know I have my relationships set up properly because if I use the default Lookup component and set up the Filtering, it works as expected. Any thoughts on what I'm missing?
My settings: (I want to filter the SMS Practice field based on the SMS Area selected)
Lookup to Dropdown is showing all records:
Default lookup component has filtered out some records:
Have you tried using Classic Mode Form Designer? I was able to add my filter that way successfully, but it seems I cannot set any properties using the modern designer.
I am unable to get the filtering to work either. The OOB filtering on the lookup controls works. Please can you provide a screenshot of the filtering options used (in the classic interface) These are mine which don't work
I switched to using this control instead: https://pcf.gallery/lookup-dropdown-pcf/
Here are my notes:
Can you try to configure this in classic editor? It seems there might be a bug in defining custom controls properties for lookup in modern designer
Hi, I'm experiencing the same behavior: the OOTB filtering functionality works fine on the column but when I add the control the filter is ignored. I tried several times to set the configuration from the classic editor but to no avail. @MscrmTools Could you please show an example of correct configuration of the filtering in the classic editor?
Thanks
I also tried using this control yesterday, and I could not get the filtering to work. I was using the classic editor, and also installed the latest version.
Here is a short video of the control working with dependent lookup https://www.screencast.com/t/4wxGETyOmhl
And the configuration in classic mode (sorry it's in French, but the configuration is simple)
