Is there any documentation or a reference implementation for recursive types? I looked into this a little bit and I don't quite understand how it's supposed to work currently.

The compiled code and typings are included in the npm version. There's no need to publish this to GitHub too (and is actually not recommended).
What issues are you running into with your M1? Will look into Docker support!
