BUG: Apple sillicon problems
Describe the issue:
I'm trying to use kilosort4 on my mac with an m4 chip. First I used cpu as the device and applied it to the example data. According to the messages, it appears that the detection works but the clustering fails as the progress bar is not moving at all. Then I tried the MPS version adapted by michaelbarkasi, the code seemed to work but still report errors. It stoped everytime the detection progress bar get to around 5-9 % only. The error message is shown in the graph below.

We don't support Apple's Metal chips. Our recommendation is to use a different machine with an Nvidia GPU. If you're determined to use the M4 chip, you'll have to figure out any necessary modifications on your own. Maybe try reaching out to the PR author directly to see if they got it working.
