Just noticed this. Did never thing it was a bug before now. Sad to see it's not been fixed yet. And, it's one of these cases where I'm not proficient...

I can confirm this is not fixed by 3.0.

Not to bump this, but this kinda broke stuff, and I'm not complete sure how to fix this. E.g.: ``` "warnings": [ { "topic": "Configuration Error", "message": "Configuration option `hostRules[0].token`...

```js hostRules: [ { matchHost: "gitlab.", token: process.env.RENOVATE_TOKEN, }, ], ``` That might however be my own error? 🤔
