I think possibly https://github.com/caronc/apprise Might be better suited, it supports multiple notification services. Rather then implement just Gotify.
It started around the 1.20.0.xxxx range but only on libraries that are using the new plex agent. Libraries that use the old agent even with the latest plex version still...
