< margins > < top>20 < /top > < bottom>0< /bottom > < left>0 < right>0< /right > Windows cover up all screen, ignoring the margins.

Folder icon not set in Nautilus

Following the installation instructions (ppa) for Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 leaves the directory icon in Nautilus unchanged.
