I also need a way to manually clear the cache for specific functions. I want them to have no expiration date but trigger it manually.

Or you define an id / id-function that you put into the decorator and with the id you can clear the cache.

I agree that this module should not throw an error at all. I've used hundreds of modules but don't know any that requires a try-block somewhere.

I didnt see that method as it is not documented. Anyway I cant use it because it is set to private. Also it doesnt even seem to be a method...
