Check for third party program that modify audio device that may cause it to crash.

It’s not kext problem... check your SIP and file permission.

Personally I use 970 evo with apfs and trim without issue. You shouldn’t care much about sad lifespan as even without trim, it will last much longer than your laptop
Mine is working fine, I have seem 300mb/s copying files. I can do a benchmark if you want.
