`useInterimTilesOnError` deprecated, but what is the replacement?

Until v10 [an option named `useInterimTilesOnError` existed in the TileLayer](https://github.com/openlayers/openlayers/blob/v10.4.0/src/ol/layer/BaseTile.js#L46) to make OpenLayers not display "interim" (or i guess stale) tiles if a tile had the state error.
