Not sure what you mean by "the the syncthing started is still working" and "I guess the main use of the tray app is currently not really usable for us"....
I guess I should check whether this still happens under the latest Plasma release.
It is still broken under Plasma 6.4.3.
I gave it another test with `plasma-workspace` 6.4.5. The config is indeed still not written so the Plasmoid is gone again after restarting `plasmashell`. If I add e.g. ``` [Containments][2][Applets][26]...
I added some debug logging to know for sure whether the correct so file is loaded and to know for sure whether the meta-data is considered valid: ``` Initializing Syncthing...
I was finally able to fix this, see the commit auto-referenced by GitHub.
Looks like the icon rendering is broken in the Plasmoid. For me the icon rendering *generally*¹ works within the Plasmoid as well. Does it work under X11? --- ¹ Today...
Then probably related to the way this renders ForkAwesome icons considering only these icons are affected. It looks like you enabled to prefer system icons instead of ForkAwesome icons. Maybe...
Looks like the Wayland-related issue I mentioned is actually more NVIDIA-related and tracked on https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/linux/-/issues/80. I can reproduce the issue you've mentioned when enabling the setting to prefer system icons...
