Zoom issues

I tried looking at my page in basic table display and it is bigger than the window. How do I zoom in table view? Can I set the default zoom when a mindmap document opens? It always opens ridiculously zoomed in and I always have to reset the view to be able to see the whole picture. Even if I just hop out of the doc for a second, my view gets reset to "horrible."
