Can I open mindmap file without new pane?

when I use markmind, I usually use link to move from mindmap to mindmap, and have to shutdown the map I was watching before because the new mindmap always open in a new pane. It makes screen look dirty and so I have to shutdown them all manually. It's pretty annoying. can I have some option for not opening mindmap in a new pane?
