I've pinned down the specific scenario under which this happens. I have a stub `getdown.txt` (with just `appbase`) distributed with the installer, and the jar is not distributed with it....

This is reasonable. However, when Getdown uses the stub `getdown.txt` to download a complete `getdown.txt` and `digest.txt`, it can use *those* files, after they're downloaded, to know which validation files...

I hit this bug as well in 1.8.3.

Thanks, stanczew, the workaround seems to have worked for me. BlizzardBrowser still leaks memory a bit, but at such a slow pace that it's going to be unnoticeable in practice,...

Looks like it's not a Dalamud issue. With Dalamud disabled, I got this error instead:  It turned out that the issue only occurs when my laptop's BIOS is configured...

All right, now it's getting weird. The same error as in the original post just happened to me despite my graphics being set to discrete. Edit: Rebooting fixed it. Odd.

As a Linux user, I would be interested in a native Linux binary if it supported Dalamud, which is currently broken under recent versions of Wine.

I use regular Wine, without Lutris. Since all I need from Dalamud is chat bubbles, it's not worth running FFXIV under old Wine for me, and I can wait until...
