This seems to happen to me too on Minecraft Dungeons. It eventually moves on, but the resulting file is just a little bit less than 510x the original file size!

I don't think that the 'whisper' event will be fired by the server's overriden /msg command. You might want to register a chat pattern for this; see [this](https://github.com/PrismarineJS/mineflayer/blob/55af9bc7cdcd5659329e9e497dd46868d9a36717/examples/chat_parsing.js) example.

Have you checked .aftman in your HOME? (~/.aftman or %USERPROFILE%/.aftman)

With Emotecraft I believe everyone+the server still needs the mod, they just don't need the emote
