side note: the different handling on cpu path seems to be consistent with the behaviour described in https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/issues/8894 (but there it's consistent dark for gpu and cpu path) a wavelet...

is your generated icc file in /Users/florin/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/your.icc ? what does color sync report for your internal display as an actual profile?
it seems the profile was properly installed by DisplayCal - so nothing DisplayCal can do later. Usually macOS handles the profile itself. Do you have other tools that might affect...
