This happens because front-end editor is adding div-elements inside p-element and that's not allowed in HTML (https://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/text.html#h-9.3.1). So at least Chrome adds another p-tags to its page inspector to close...
I did a quick fix for this when using the plugin on the "on click" event. I did not submit a Pull Request, because I feel this is way too...
