My assumption is that usually fonts are enhanced and only rarely do they have behavior removed, so I would expect a newer version is better.

Prior discussion was at #1545. We await @kamholz to update the keyboard when he is ready.
We await @kamholz since it's his keyboard. If he wants me to update it, I will but not without his agreement.
You would be welcome to take the existing keyboard, rename it it and update it for QWERTZ.
We would not be able to modify the EuroLatin layout. It's in widespread use. You would need a new keyboard to work with QWERTZ. However, here are 2 other keyboards...
