Sent @amorriscode at Anthropic a video a few days back to report this. It could actually be an Electron issue (Claude desktop is built with Electron).

IPC race condition! This would explain why things like quit don't work -- the renderer has become unattached and can't respond to keyboard commands anymore. The dock quit trick will...
