It seems the mentioned objective is still not being addressed in the lesson, so this issue is still open to be resolved.

Yes, and I thought except for the time out of elfutils everything was cloned, but all the directories in deps/ are empty...

I get completely blank screens when I try loading a file that's too big to handle for my local installation of IVG, could it be related to that? Reloading works...
