I think implementing issue https://github.com/cryptomator/cryptomator-ios/issues/20 is much more important, because most people just use standard tools for taking photos, and want them to be backed up.

You can try almost the same tool: [Awesome Tiles](https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/4702/awesome-tiles/) The only drawback is it maximizes window on Super+KP_5 , but not unmaximizes on pressing it again :/
