There is realistically no ETA as Google stopped maintaining the project, and there are only some maintainers who work on it in their free time.

This is now possible thanks to migrating away from Heroku

I could not get it to work, neither in Google sheets, nor in Google Data Studio 

Reason being, you can't merge cells, and you can't have extra columns in-between your pivot table. There is a template out there, but it's not useful for what I need...
