pi64-update's main.go is missing os/exec in import. I also had to set a bunch of paths in /etc/sudoers and ~/.profile to get this thing to build on ubuntu 17.04, but...

Latest rsync was installed from Cydia, posix or coolstar's repo I believe. The deb would not let me install it until rsync was installed first, it's a dependency.
