Opting into the beta fixes the mouse not appearing in the overlay. The alt-tabbing issue is still present, other than that the game runs flawlessly.

Mine appears to still be working fine. Attach a proton log to your post ( right click the game, select properties, set launch options and add this: PROTON_LOG=1 %command% )...
