Minor update! It's now a black page instead on the same browser. Nothing still loads, though.  And if it's of any interest, this is all the console spits out....

I'm pretty sure the reason this hasn't been done is because it's no longer possible within the current page layout.

YT Patch Collection has been slowly crumbling over time, aubrey doesn't maintain it anymore.

This is caused by using the smaller video player option when the screen is already small enough to fit the non-shrunken player at the same size.
