Yes, its a kind of a bug, we currently rename the ai_thermostat HACS to better_thermostat and changes some code stuff, in the final version of 1.0 of better thermostat Summers...

I also thinked about icons, future versions of ai_thermostat will replace the single night mode with a modes array so maby icons are the better way

This is in the first place an addition for the ai_thermostat intigration, it will be work with other climates to but my Focus will be on devices with two modes....

Can you check if your "real" thermostat is setted to heat/boost mode? I think thats can be the issue, looks like HA changes the modes internal
