I had the very same issue - I had a € sign in the password. After I removed that from the password, everything worked fine.

On top of that, whenever i send SMS, the log starts repeating the message [Aug 21 03:59:17] WARNING[30186][C-00000001] channel.c: Exceptionally long voice queue length queuing to Local/sms@dawei-00000000;2

Using the development build, generate is also not working here through the Web UI. However, I do not get any error messages. It is a fresh installation
