Unfortunately, no. Barco stopped supporting Linux many, many years ago (see #3).

I use recent appimages on various debian systems yet never have any problems whatsoever.

Are you unable to temporarily disable defender to test your theory?

It seems like some corporate policy is preventing applications from creating files and folders. Therefore DC cannot create its settings folder and files within it.

From your screeenshot, there is an error reading a settings files. Rename folder `D:\doublecmd\settings\` to `D:\doublecmd\settings.bak\` and create a new empty `D:\doublecmd\settings\` folder. Also try to change your Windows system...
