Default to AND operator in searchbox

Any ideas on trying to get the default from OR to AND? Unable to get it working from modifying the js files. Thanks.

Can't work out exactly how to get the livesearch to use AND as a default between keywords (basically replace " " with " AND ". Any ideas?
