Gut is that this bug probably predates the recent shift to data-tables, which was an attempt to fix similar pre-existing issues. Suspect the problem lies in the underlying ruby code....

It's a little tricky, as I thought I'd already identified and fixed the issue once, so the bug is very much an unknown and may take a while to track...
