Some form of master volume control is certainly desirable. I've run into this issue myself several times.
This is related to [the scene model in general](https://github.com/JakobKallin/RPG-Ambience/issues/63), which I will change for the next version of RPG Ambience.
It should be noted that a simple and flexible scripting feature could remove some or all of the need for mixins.
Note that this could become void with a [simpler and more flexible scene model](https://github.com/JakobKallin/RPG-Ambience/issues/63), as mixins might not be needed to begin with.
Makes sense and seems like an expected part of the UI.
