Found the issue. In the Makefile, the libraries aren't linked on line 75. Appending `-logg -lbz2` to the line fixes it, so ideally that should be fixed here too.

Are you sure you have the right room? Seems to be working fine to me. I tested it on both emu and console in both US and JP.
